Ensure the cartridge has been installed correctly, espeically if there is a breather seal to be removed.
The printer head has been exposed in the air for too long which has dried the ink and blocked the printhead. Please refer to the printer user manual for extended head cleaning options.
If it is possible to remove the printhead, use good-quality tissue or lint free swabs or cloth to gently wipe off clogged debris such as paper dust or dried excess ink.
If removed it is possible to immerse the printer head unit, print face down, into some warm water. This procedure should only be undertaken by a competent technician as it can get messy.
Air has entered in to the inkjet system. Refer to the printer user manual on how to run a print head cleaning cycle taking care not to exceed the maximum number of consecutive cleaning cycles.
If the cleaning cycle does not work after doing the cleaning several times, leave the ink cartridges installed and allow to settle for 24 hours. This can often be caused by an air lock which can clear on it's own in some circumstances.
If still not resolved the printer head could be damaged, and should be replaced.
