Take the cartridge out from the printer. Carefully check the cartridge chip and the contact points in the printer. If necessary use a dry cloth or paper tissue to clean the chip and the contact point if necessary and then reinstall.
If you have a Brother cartridge without a chip, please check whether the technical reset gear is installed properly.
For some brands for example Samsung/Lexmark, the original manufacturer frequently updates their firmware which can prevent some chips from working correctly. Please contact with your sales manager in such cases.
Please make sure the printer model you are installing the cartridge in to is listed on the box you have received. Sometimes high capacity cartridges won't work on printers which can only accept lower capacity cartridges of a similar design.
Some newer models of printer detect the serial number held in the cartridge chip. If the printer has already seen the same serial number it will display an error message. The chip or the cartridge must be replaced in such circumstances.
